Watch: Agarakar and Rohit’s post-match conversation grabs attention as speculation of Kohli’s return looms

After India leveled the series 1-1 in Visakhapatnam by winning the first two Tests, attention has turned to Virat Kohli’s availability. Citing personal reasons, the former captain of India withdrew from the matches in Hyderabad and Vizag. The uncertainty of Kohli’s comeback looms as the action shifts to Rajkot.

India has so far faced occasional challenges from England’s Bazball throughout the series. Although the hosts have handled it valiantly most of the time, they will undoubtedly want to have their greatest player back in the lineup with three games remaining. Indeed, a heated conversation between head selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma after the loss suggests that the management is eager to avoid wasting time assembling the team for the remaining games.

What Did the Head Coach Say?

India head coach Rahul Dravid did not respond to questions on Kohli’s potential comeback for the remainder of the series or the next game in Rajkot at his Monday post-match news conference.

“Once the squad is chosen for the next three games, I believe it is preferable to request selectors. They’re undoubtedly the most qualified to respond to it. We’ll address it later. We’ll connect with them in mind, and I’m sure there will be a pick over the next few days,” Dravid said.

Kohli is going to have another child.

Ab de Villiers, a former colleague of Kohli’s with Royal Challengers Bangalore, disclosed the cause of his absence from the cricket pitch.

I just know that he’s doing OK. He is skipping the first two Test matches since he is spending some time with his family. I won’t be confirming anything more. I am really excited to see him again. On his YouTube account, AB de Villiers said, “He’s fine, he’s happy.”

Indeed, he is expecting his second kid. Indeed, he values things and it’s family time. You lose sight of your purpose in life if you are not authentic and honest to yourself. Family is, I believe, what most people prioritize. Virat cannot be judged for it. He said, “Yeah, we mourn him, but he made the right choice.
