“Rohit Sharma Shouldn’t Have Done This…” Karim Janat, an Afghan cricket player, criticizes Indian captain

Karim Janat said in an interview with the Hindustan Times, “We weren’t very familiar with it. The umpires were consulted by our management. We found out later that Rohit shouldn’t have been let to bat first. You are not permitted to bat again, not even if you were retired. Given that what has transpired is already past, there isn’t much we can do about it. Later, the coach and captain spoke about it, but it remained between them.”

“I’m not sure (whether Rohit retired injured or not). Has a Super Over ever consisted of two? That’s my main point here. We continue to impose these new guidelines. In other words, we continued to test the standards and the laws,” Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott said.
