Other Android Users Will Be Able To Use Google’s “Circle To Search” AI Technology, But They Must Wait

Google is primarily targeting premium customers with its AI push for smartphone users, and that’s probably going to stay the way it is until later in the year. The Circle to Search AI function was first released by the firm on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. In January, it was made available for the Pixel 8 Pro model.

<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-387477″ src=”” alt=” other android users will be able to use googles circle to search ai technology but” width=”1077″ height=”718″ title=”Other Android Users Will Be Able To Use Google's "Circle To Search" AI Technology, But They Must Wait 15″ srcset=” 510w,×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1077px) 100vw, 1077px” />

However, when will other Android users be able to use this new Search feature? Many of you may be dissatisfied by the timeframe that Samsung is said to have revealed. Circle to Search may make its way to more Android devices this year, but only after October 5, 2024—likely coinciding with the introduction of the Google Pixel 9 series this year—as recently disclosed by Samsung Netherlands.

Given that Samsung’s main division has not yet commented on the feature extension, the source of this information is not reliable. It is quite likely that Google and company will implement the AI function on additional devices in the next months, rather than six months from now. If not all, at least provide the functionality to the more affordable, but still-available older Galaxy and Pixel devices.

The capability was added to the Pixel 8 Pro variant last month with a new Pixel Drop update. To get information about any product or item from the internet, just draw a circle around any picture, as the name implies.

Yes, Circle to Search is what Google is calling it, and it’s as easy as merely circling to search. If you get the Samsung phone, you can use the S Pen that comes with the Galaxy S24 Ultra variant to sketch this or you can use the Pixel 8 Pro, which has built-in Gemini Nano functionality.
